Install the Companion from the extension folder in the Calder repository. The steps differ slightly by browser.
On Chrome, open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select extensions/connecta-mission-companion/dist/chromium. On Edge, open edge://extensions and repeat the same steps with the same folder.
On Firefox desktop, open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox, choose Load Temporary Add-on, and select extensions/connecta-mission-companion/dist/firefox/manifest.json.
After installing, confirm the extension name is Calder Mission Companion and the Calder toolbar icon is visible. Open the popup and confirm it shows no active Mission by default.
Firefox temporary add-ons are removed when Firefox restarts, so reinstalling after a restart is expected during testing. Persistent Firefox Beta distribution uses a Mozilla-signed package and is prepared separately.
